  • AAHA-accredited
  • ABVP Board Certified Diplomate
  • AAFP Gold Level Cat-Friendly Practice Certified
  • Fear-Free Certified
Our AAHA Accreditation takes on added significance in the state of New Hampshire, where there is NO required state inspection program for Veterinary Hospitals.

Stratham-Newfields Veterinary Hospital has voluntarily chosen to undergo a rigorous credentialing process to demonstrate our commitment to the Highest Standards of Veterinary Care. Voluntary commitment to the AAHA Standards and the Accreditation Program demonstrates that SNVH has chosen to have itself measured by an outside organization against the most rigorous published standards in the industry. AAHA standards are recognized around the world as the benchmark for quality care in veterinary medicine.

AAHA Accreditation means that SNVH meets or exceeds over 900 individual standards, divided into 19 major sections including patient care, surgery, pharmacy, laboratory, exam facilities, pet health records, cleanliness, emergency services, dental care, nursing care, diagnostic imaging, anesthesiology, and continuing education. In order to maintain accredited status, each hospital must continue to be evaluated regularly by the association's practice consultants.

Sally and Winston choose AAHA.
Only 15 percent of all small animal veterinary practices in the U.S. have achieved accreditation by AAHA!

Further, New Hampshire has NO required Licensure for Veterinary Technicians.

At Stratham-Newfields Veterinary Hospital, we require all our Veterinary Nurses to become Credentialed Veterinary Technicians.

In response to the lack of licensure requirements for Veterinary Technicians, Stratham-Newfields Veterinary Hospital has spearheaded the effort to require licensure of all veterinary technicians in New Hampshire.

We are a GOLD Level Certified "Cat Friendly" Practice

Stratham-Newfields Veterinary Hospital is a GOLD Level Certified "Cat Friendly" Practice by The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP).

The Cat Friendly Practice distinction shows that SNVH Hospital staff has been trained in how to approach and handle cats in a gentle, empathetic and caring manner and has demonstrated higher levels of commitment and excellence in feline medicine.
