ABVP - Focus on Excellence in Veterinary Medicine

The American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) represents a group of clinicians who have chosen to pursue advanced clinical training.

Dr. Sonnya Dennis is 1 of 4 Board-Certified Specialists in Canine and Feline Practice in the State of New Hampshire and is the only ABVP-certified veterinarian in primary care in the Seacoast.

Certification as a Diplomate typically takes 3-4 years, after 5 years of practice, to achieve.  It involves a rigorous program of credentialing, case report submission, and a series of practical and written tests. Once certified, doctors must maintain ongoing continuing education credits and undergo regular re-credentialing.  This is just another way that we don't just offer a promise of better care; we offer proof.
Out of the more than 60,000 veterinarians licensed in the United States,
there are only 400 ABVP Canine / Feline Diplomates.
